Swiss Spirit's Lola B07/10 Audi tests in France

New Lola B07/10 Audi of Swiss Spirit testing at Lédenon, France. The team first tested their LMP1 car on April 20th. It has a twin-turbo 3.6 liter Audi V-8 with over 600 hp (restricted like other P1 engines). Audi wants to prove that the LMP1 rules don't favor diesel engines. Mario Andretti and Hartmut Kristen (Porsche's motorsport boss) think the rules favor diesels though. This car will race in the Le Mans Series in Europe and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Turbodiesels get 37 percent more engine displacement than turbo'd gasoline engines in LMP1.

Marcel Fässler has done a lot of the testing.

Swiss Spirit will race in the Le Mans Series for three years with this Lola B07/10 Audi. The series has 6 hour/1,000 km races.
